On July 6, Astana traditionally celebrates one of the most important holidays - Capital City Day. This year, the celebration promises to be particularly large-scale and multi-layered: hundreds of events are planned, covering culture, sports, family leisure and improvement of the urban environment. This format emphasizes not only the festive mood, but also the strategic line of development of the city, aimed at increasing social cohesion and cultural identity.Qazaq Culture editors have collected the most interesting events of the Capital City Day celebration.The central cultural event was the IV International Puppet Theater Festival "Құралай", which runs from June 30 to July 4. It brings together troupes from all over the world, confirming Astana's status as a platform for global cultural exchange.On July 5 and 6, the city will turn into one big theater: street performances and performances will be held in the open air, as part of the festival of urban performances. During the same period, a unique performance "Армандар орындалады" will take place, where not actors, but representatives of working professions - teachers, doctors, builders - will take the stage. This is not just a tribute to the Year of Working Professions, but a symbol of recognition of their contribution to the development of society.In honor of the National Dombyra Day (celebrated on the first Sunday of July), performances by students of the "Altyn dombyra" school will be held, where Kazakh traditional music will be performed by young talents, creating a living connection between generations.From June 30 to July 6, the capital will host the Men's and Women's Boxing World Cup - a world-class competition with the participation of more than 300 athletes from 31 countries. This is not only a prestigious tournament, but also a way to demonstrate the organizational capabilities of the capital and promote a healthy lifestyle.On July 6, the Kazanat hippodrome will host competitions in baiga and other national sports. Such events not only support national traditions, but also create platforms for family recreation and foster patriotism among young people.In addition, chess tournaments, sports competitions among children, pensioners and people with special needs will be organized. Thus, sport is presented as an accessible and inclusive part of urban life.On the day of the capital, Astana Arena stadium will also become the epicenter of a music festival - a large OPEN AIR concert with the participation of stars of the Kazakh stage will be held here. And in the Central Park the family recreation festival "Мерекелік саябақ" will open - with master classes, games and concerts.Young people will not be left out either: on this day, the Jastar Energy youth concert and the "Capital Battle" dance battle will take place, emphasizing the role of creative industries in the life of the capital.Projects for improvement deserve special attention - new public spaces will open these days. This is symbolic: the city not only celebrates, but also grows, develops, becoming more comfortable to live in.The festive week will end on July 8 with the awarding ceremony of the winners of the republican contest "Мерейлі отбасы" in the amphitheater.
