
On August 1, 2026, the 15th International Dance Competition "Wudao Shijie" (舞蹈世界, "World of Dance") took place in Beijing, People's Republic of China, bringing together talented performers from around the world.
The competition's highest award, the Super Grand Prix, was won by Aktilek Mukhtarqyzy, a student of the choreography department at the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography.
120 performers from various countries participated in the competition. Following the performances, the international jury awarded Aktilek the highest score of 9.86 points, which was the best result of the competition and earned her the festival's main prize.
On the competition stage, Aktilek performed the choreographic composition "Sezim tolkyny" (Sesim tolkyny), set to music by Rustem Beisenuly. The production was created by Gauhar Ismagulova, a doctoral student at the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography. The composition received high praise from the international jury for its profound artistic expression, original choreographic vocabulary, and outstanding performance skills.
The victory of Aktilek Mukhtarqyzy is a clear confirmation of the high level of professional training of students at the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography, as well as recognition of the achievements of the national school of choreographic art on the international stage.
