Dina Nurpeisova (Dina Nurpeisova; 1861–1955) – Kazakh domplayer, composer, People's Artist of the Kazakh SSR (1944). Born in the West Kazakhstan region, in the town "Beketai Kumy". Since childhood, she showed outstanding abilities for music, and her first teacher was her father, talented dombra player. Dos-Mukasan is a legendary Kazakhstani vocal and instrumental ensemble (VIA) founded in 1967. This group is considered a pioneer of Kazakh pop music and one of the most influential musical projects in the history of the country. Their work combines elements of Kazakh folk music, rock, pop music and jazz, which made their style unique and innovative.The ensemble was created by students of the Kazakh Polytechnic Institute, and its name is made up of the first syllables of the names of the founders: Dosym Suleev, Murat Kusainov, Kareken Akhmetov and Sanya Botpaev. Their musical style stood out from the very beginning among Soviet VIAs - they actively used Kazakh folk motifs, modern arrangements and vocal harmony.Dos-Mukasan gained wide popularity in 1971 after winning the All-Union Festival of Student Ensembles. Dulat Isabekov(1942–2025) - Kazakh writer, playwright, Hero of Labor Kazakhstan (2022), winner of the State Prize of the Republic of Kazakhstan (1992).Born in South Kazakhstan region. His father died in the war, and his mother raised him alone. He graduated from the Faculty of Philology of the Kazakh State University named after M. Kirov (1966). He worked as an editor at the Kazakh Radio, in magazines and publishing houses, occupied post of Chief Director of Kazakh Television (1990–1992). Since 1998 he headed the Kazakh Research Institute of Culture and Art Studies.The first story “Zholda” (“On the Way”) published in 1963 Among the famous works  are collections of stories “Becket” (1966), “Kara Shanyrak” (1973), “Tirshilik” (1975), novel “Kargyn” (1980). His works have been translated into many languages, plays “Adke” (“Elder Sister”), “Muragerler” (“Heirs”), “Kishkentai aul" ("Little village") produced in theaters in Kazakhstan and abroad. The films "Emerald" (1975), "Wormwood" (1986), "Life" (1996) were made based on his scripts.Laureate of the international PEN Club, winner of the Tarlan Prize (2007), Leo Tolstoy medal. His works were published in Russia, European countries and CIS. In 2014 the collection “The Pearl and Other Stories” was published in London. In 2017 the 75th anniversary of the writer, the collections Short Stories and Song of the Swans: Selection were published in English of Plays.For Isabekov’s 70th birthday, an international festival of one playwright was held in Almaty, in which theaters from Kazakhstan, Russia, Bulgaria, Turkey and other countries participated. His plays were staged in London, St. Petersburg, Dushanbe and Omsk.Dulat Isabekov died on February 21, 2025 in Almaty age 82 years.

Gabiden Mustafin is an outstanding Kazakh Soviet writer, public figure, corresponding member of the Kazakh Academy of Sciences SSR, one of the significant masters of Kazakh prose. Born in 1902 on the banks of the Nura, in the area of ​​Sartobe (now Bukhar-Zhyrau district of the Karaganda region). Educated by an aul mullah and at the Russian-Kazakh school of Spassky plant.He began his career in the mines of Karaganda, then worked in the Supreme Court of the Kazakh Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic, which gave him a deep understanding of social conflicts reflected in his works. Ilyas Zhansugurov – one of the largest Kazakh writers of the 20th century, poet, playwright, publicist, translator and educator, who played a key role in the development of national literature and culture. His work became a reflection of the soul of the Kazakh people, its history, traditions and aspirations.Born in 1894 in the Aksus volost, he was imbued with folk culture from an early age in a word, an epic, a song, which was subsequently reflected in his works. Zhansugurov’s literary career began in 1912, and already in 1917 poems “Saryarka” and “Tilek” were published in the magazine “Saryarka”. Since then, his work has become an integral part of Kazakh literature.Zhansugurov was not only a talented poet, but also a deep researcher of national culture. His poems "Kui" and "Kuishi" glorify art dombra, a "Kulager" became a real encyclopedia of the life of nomads. In it, the author with incredible lyricism conveyed the tragedy of Akan Sera, who lost his faithful steed.In addition to fiction, Zhansugurov was actively involved in educational activities, created textbooks, translated works of world classics, including Pushkin, Lermontov, Nekrasov, Mayakovsky, Heine and Hugo. He was the first chairman of the Writers' Union of Kazakhstan, participated in the preparation of educational programs, critical articles and folklore collections.But, like many talented Kazakh intellectuals of that era, his life was cut short tragically. In 1937  arrested, and in shot in 1938. They tried to erase his works from the memory of the people, but despite this, his poems and poems survived years of repression and remained immortal.Today the name of Ilyas Zhansugurov occupies a worthy place in the history of Kazakh literature. His work continues to inspire, his lines resonate in hearts, and his contribution to the culture of Kazakhstan cannot be overestimated.

Kalibek Kuanyshpayev (1893-1968) – outstanding Kazakh actor, People's Artist USSR (1959), one of the founders of the professional theatrical art of Kazakhstan.Born on April 25, 1893, in the village of Sarytau, Karkaraly region. In 1916, he was mobilized for the construction of defensive structures in Belarus, then worked at a tannery in Omsk and as a distiller livestock. Supported the October Revolution, for some time he headed the village council.Stage activity began in the 1920s years, when he performed as a folk comedian at the Koyanda fair. In 1925 in Kzyl-Orda he participated in the creation of the first professional Kazakh theater (now the Kazakh State Academic Drama Theater named after M. O.Auezova). In 1928 moved to Alma-Ata, where he worked until 1964 , having played more than 150 roles.Since 1937, he acted in films, wrote plays, satirical stories and poems for radio and stage. Published the collections "Tuyreuish" ("Hairpin") and "Shansharlar" (“Wits”) In collaboration with Shakhmet Khusainov, he created the plays “Shansharlar” and “Ak Zhaulyk — kok Zhaulyk.”In 1943, he joined the All-Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks, and from 1946 to 1958, he was a deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR. The Legend of Korkyt is a philosophical reflection on life, death and immortality, contained in art.Korkyt – akyn, zhyrau, composer, whose name is associated with the appearance kobyz. His birth was accompanied by unusual phenomena: a three-year stay in the womb, darkness that covered the world for three days, and a storm that instilled fear in people. The name “Korkut” is translated as “fear” but his fate became a symbol of the fight against inevitability.Seeking immortality, he wandered around the world, he met everywhere people digging his grave. Realizing that it was impossible to avoid death, Korkyt found eternity in art. According to one legend, he played the kobyz, and while the music sounded, death retreated. However, one day, tired, he fell asleep, and at that moment he was bitten by a snake – an image of sudden death.Korkyt-Ata became the patron saint of musicians, and his philosophy reflects the views of the Turkic peoples on eternity: “There is no immortality, but good deeds remain.” Art, created by man, survives centuries, and Korkyt music is confirmation of this.

In 1925, she took part in the Central Asian Children's Olympics in Tashkent and immediately won the Grand Prix. From that moment on, her destiny was predetermined – music, stage, great love from the audience.In 1934 she moved in Alma-Ata, began to work on the Kazakh radio, performed on the theater stage, performing roles in Kyz-Zhibek , Shuga and Aiman-Sholpan But real fame came to her in 1936 when she went to the First Decade of Kazakh Art in Moscow. Her voice spread across the stage of the Bolshoi Theater, and the audience froze. The folk songs she performed sounded so soulful, that the audience asked to repeat – and she sang for an encore, and then again and again.From that moment on, Zhamal Omarova became one of the most beloved singers of Kazakhstan. In 1939 she took a prize at the All-Union Competition of Pop Artists in Moscow, in 1940 she became an Honored Artist of the Kazakh SSR, and in 1943, a People's Artist.During the war, she performed for the soldiers, sang on the front lines, and raised the morale of the soldiers. Her voice sounded in dugouts, in hospitals, on ships. Zhumeken Sabyrovich Nazhimedenov (1935–1983) - Kazakh poet, writer and translator, author of words the current anthem of Kazakhstan.Born in the village of Koshalak (now Kurmangazy district, Atyrau region). He was brought up by his grandfather, who instilled in him a love of words, history and traditions. Studied at the Kazakh State Conservatory (1956–1959), then worked as editor of the publishing house “Zhazushy”, "Mektep", newspapers "Leninshil Zhas", was a literary consultant of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan.His literary journey began with collection “Balausa” (1961), after which came “No, we must not forget” and eight more poetry collections. In addition to poetry, Zhumeken Nazhimedenov wrote prose — he owns three famous novels: “Ak Shagyl” (1973), “Kishkentai” (1975) and “Dank pen dakpyrt” (1978). After his death there wereten more collections have been published, including unpublished poems, stories, articles, translations and nine songs.Nazhimedenov's works have been translated into many languages, and he himself translated poems by A. Voznesensky, E. Yevtushenko, N. Hikmet and other authors into Kazakh.In 1956 at the age of 21 years, he wrote the lyrics to the song “Menің Kazakhstan" to the music of Shamshi Kaldayakov. It quickly became popular, and in 2006 it was officially approved as the National Anthem of Kazakhstan.

His soulful images in performances “Kyz-Zhibek”, “Aiman – Sholpan” and “Enlik-Kebek” entered the golden fund of Kazakh art.In 1942, he received the title of People's Artist of the Kazakh SSR, and his services were recognized with the highest state awards, including the Order of Lenin and the State Prize of the Kazakh SSR.Zhusupbek Elebekov was not only a performer, but also a teacher. In the 1967–1977 years, he taught folk vocals, raising a new generation of singers. Among his students  are such stars of the Kazakh scene as Kairat Baybosynov and Zhanibek Karmenov.The memory of the great performer is alive. Since 1994, a competition in his name has been held in the Karaganda region, and in Almaty a circus college has been named after him, near which a monument was erected in 2011.Zhusupbek Elebekov left a rich legacy, and his voice will forever remain part of the history of Kazakh art.
