The best travel blogger in the world told Qazaq Culture how Kazakhstan is winning over a foreign audience

Kazakhstani natural locations are increasingly becoming part of international travel content and attracting the attention of viewers from different countries. Travel blogger Dastan Mukhamedrakhim, recently recognized as the best travel blogger in the world at the international WIBA Awards, spoke about this in an interview with Qazaq Culture portal.

According to the author, foreign audiences are primarily surprised by the natural diversity of Kazakhstan. In one country, you can see mountains, canyons, salt lakes, deserts, steppes, and landscapes that viewers often compare to different parts of the world.

Dastan Mukhamedrakhim noted that for him it is important not just to film beautiful places, but to find his own idea for each video: an unusual angle, camera movement, light, or visual technique. Such videos, according to him, help foreign viewers discover Kazakhstan in a new way and include the country in their future tourist routes.

Mangystau, Katon-Karagai, and the Almaty region hold a special place in his works. Among the lesser-known locations, the blogger highlights Lake Ushkol in Dzungarian Alatau and the Karynzharik depression in Mangystau. Some videos about these places garnered millions of views, showing that even hard-to-reach corners of the country can become a real discovery for a wide audience.

Currently, Dastan Mukhamedrakhim, along with famous content creators Joe Hattab and MegaAmerican, is traveling through picturesque regions of Kazakhstan and filming new natural locations. According to him, interest in Kazakhstan on social networks is growing significantly, but for the development of tourism, not only beautiful shots are important, but also infrastructure, navigation, service, safety, and accessible information about routes.
