Nurgali Nusipzhanov

Nurgali Nusipzhanov (born January 5 1937) - Kazakh singer, teacher, People's Artist of the Republic of Kazakhstan (1993), winner of the State Prize of the Kazakh SSR (1982).

He graduated from the vocal department of the Kazakh State Conservatory in 1964 . He worked as a soloist of the Kazakh Opera and Ballet Theater, then the Kazakh Philharmonic, as well as a music editor at the Kazakh radio and television.

He was the first performer of many vocal works by Nurgisa Tlendiev, made a great contribution to the development of the Otyrar Sazy orchestra and the Zhazir ensemble. His repertoire includes Kazakh folk songs and works of famous composers. Performed with such legends as Roza Baglanova, Bibigul Tulegenova, Rosa Rymbaeva, Makpal

Traveled all over Kazakhstan with solo concerts,  performed abroad in Europe, Asia and Africa. Awarded the orders of Kurmet, Parasat, Barys III degree, noted with the titles Honorary Citizen of Almaty and Honored Worker of Culture of Uzbekistan.
