Talgat Temyonov is an outstanding Kazakh director, actor, screenwriter and teacher, who has made a significant contribution to development of theater and cinema in Kazakhstan.
Born in 1954 in the Alma- Ata region. Graduated from the acting department Alma-Ata Conservatory, he began his career in the theater, and then moved to cinema. While working at the Kazakhfilm film studio, he
studied directing and screenwriting, and in 1988, he made his debut with the film “A Wolf Among Men,” which received international recognition.
Temyonov headed the Almaty Theater Institute, was the general director of Kazakhfilm, and also led the Kazakh State Theater for Children and Youth for many years. Since 2014, he has been the artistic director of the Kazakh Musical Drama Theater Theater named after K. Kuanyshbaev, continuing to shape the cultural space of the country.
