Turkistan region is located in the Southern part of Kazakhstan. A region is famous for the masterpieces of the ancient architecture and natural landscapes. One of the main attractions of Kazakhstan is located here – the Khoja Ahmed Yassawi Mausoleum. The Syrdarya and Chu rivers flow in the region. Also, the region is famous for the sands of the Kyzylkum and Moyinkum deserts. The major cities of the region are Turkistan, Arys and Kentau.
