The North Kazakhstan region is located in the North part of Kazakhstan, bordered by three regions of Russia, in the Southeast – with Pavlodar, in the South — with Akmola, in the West — with Kostanay regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The highest point of the region is the Mount Zhaksy-Zhalgyztau, the lowest point is Lake Teke.
The major cities of the region are Petropavl, Mamlyutka, Tayinsha and Sergeyevka.
