Radik Temirgaliyev presented his new book "Tamga. The history of Kazakh tribes".
Previously published books by Radik Temirgaliev: "Ak-Orda. The History of the Kazakh Khanate" became the bestsellers of the Republic of Kazakhstan according to the network of music lovers bookstores throughout 2012, 2013. "The Era of the Last Batyrs", "Kazakhs and Russia" – more than 10,000 copies of books have been sold, which is an unequivocal success for the Kazakh book market.
Radik Temirgaliyev is a historian, publicist, executive director of the Kazakh Historical Society, author of several dozen journalistic and popular science articles on the history of the Kazakhs.
All books by Radik Temirgaliyev are about various periods and events that took place in the history of Kazakhstan.
Initially, the idea of the book was "Tamga. The history of Kazakh tribes" originated back in 2018 to promote the philosophy of the tamga brand and gradually developed into a great scientific work. The book is devoted to the history of Kazakh tribes and clans. Based on a large number of sources involved, it describes the emergence of Kazakh tribes and their role in various historical processes and events. The issues of relations between various tribes and their relations with the khan and sultan authorities are considered. The topic of securing certain territories for individual tribes, as well as their migration, is highlighted. Considerable attention is paid to the biographies of outstanding historical figures, the existence of special dynasties of rulers who ruled clans and tribes for centuries is shown. All illustrations in the design of the book have their own specific meanings.
The book consists of five parts, three of which tell about the peoples of the Older, Middle and Younger Zhuzes. The fourth part is devoted to tribes located "outside the zhuzes", and the fifth is a new, "fourth" zhuz, in which the author tells about the history of large ethnic groups of Kazakhstan.
The book is intended for professional researchers, teachers, students and a wide range of readers interested in the history of Kazakhstan.
At the meeting with readers, next to the author of "Tamga", there were also Zhaksylyk Sabitov, director of the Scientific Institute for the Study of Ulus Jochi and sociologist, writer Kamila Kovyazina, author of the novel "Five Years".
