The history and legends of historical and cultural monuments of Zhambyl region included in the heritage list of national significance, such as the Karakhan Mausoleum and Aisha-Bi bi, were also highlighted. These two objects, like the pearls of medieval architecture, belong to the 100 sacred places of Kazakhstan. The Aisha-Bibi Mausoleum is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List and is very popular with tourists and researchers. Another ingenious creation of the ancient architects of Taraz is the medieval mausoleum of Karakhan, from the Karakhanid dynasty, who ruled in this region in the X-XII centuries.
