The fund of the National Center has been replenished with valuable manuscripts
The staff of the National Center for Manuscripts and Rare Books visited the Abai region with a scientific expedition. In Semey, the expedition members visited several historical sites.
They managed to find about a thousand copies of rare manuscripts of the XIX-XX centuries in the local mosque, 27 of which were donated to the National Center fund. Among them, the book of Abdullah Rumi in the ancient Turkic language, forty hadiths, mujrah for all Muslims of the Soviet Union, etc.
During the visit to the personal scientific library of the historian Amantai Isaev, 15 manuscripts and rare works of the scientist were handed over. Including the books "Gylym Khaly", published in 1888 and "Tarjima Jan Al Galam", published in 1891, rare books from Kazan, Orenburg, Ufa of the early twentieth century.
"The rich collection of rare books and manuscripts found in the local mosque is an invaluable legacy of our ancestors, as an integral part of the history of the region. It is very important to preserve it," said the head of the restoration and conservation department, Syrym Botabekov.
It should be noted that the main purpose of the expeditions is to form a single list of relevant manuscripts and rare books in Kazakhstan, and to include them in the state register. After a thorough study of the manuscript, work begins on their restoration.
