JAPANESE SPRING Chamber Music Festival
The Degdar Humanitarian Foundation annually organizes the international art festival "Japanese Spring" in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. This creative project has gained great popularity among the audience. It is attended by outstanding representatives of classical music from Japan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. The aim of the project is to get acquainted with the works of Japanese authors and Asian composers, creative exchange between musicians and, of course, strengthening friendly ties between the countries.

This year, as part of the Japanese Spring Festival, the Astana Ballet Theater will host performances of the highest international level, representing the chamber genre of classical music.

These are famous Japanese musicians Kotaro Fukuma (piano), Tatsuki Narita (violin) and Makoto Yoshida (clarinet). All the artists are laureates of prestigious international competitions, actively perform concerts all over the world, perform with the world's leading orchestras and conductors. Kazakhstan will present the renowned chamber group - the State Trio of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Forte Trio".

Concerts in one department, duration 1h.30 min. 


The program includes music by R. Sakamoto, D. Fujikura, A. Serkebaev, M. Sagatov, E. Elgar, M. Ravel, as well as the premiere of the Web Sonata by the young modern Japanese author Yuri Umemoto.


Admission to concerts is traditionally free. Invitation cards can be obtained at the entrance to the theater.

Kotaro Fukuma (piano) – Japan


He has received many high awards at international competitions, and his concert activities have covered more than 35 countries on five continents. He has performed at major concert venues, including Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center in New York, Wigmore Hall in London, Philharmonic Hall and Konzerthaus in Berlin, Gewandhaus in Leipzig, Gaveau Hall in Paris, Victoria Hall in Geneva, Auditorio Nacional in Madrid, Concert Hall in the Forbidden City of Beijing, and Suntory The Hall and Opera City in Tokyo.


He has worked with the Cleveland Orchestra, the orchestras of the Israel Philharmonic, the Finnish Radio, the Dresden Philharmonic, the NHK Symphony Orchestra (Japan), etc. He has released 19 CDs.


Tatsuki Narita (violin) - Japan


The winner of the International Competition Marguerite Long-Jacques Thibault (France), the Queen Elizabeth Competition (Belgium), the International Competition in Sendai (Japan). He has performed with many reputable orchestras and conductors around the world, including Peter Altrichter, Augustin Dumay and Pietari Inkinen. He has released several successful audio albums. He tours extensively all over the world.


Makoto Yoshida (clarinet) – Japan


He is a graduate of the Paris Conservatory. Winner of the first Prize and the Audience Award of the Tokyo Music Competition; awarded the R. Stoltzman Prize at the "Music Week" in Tokyo 2012. He recorded music by I. Brahms and R. Schumann for "Sopu Music". He tours extensively all over the world. It was to him that the famous composer Dai Fujikura entrusted the premiere performance of his clarinet piece and its recording for the NHK television company.


The State Trio of the Republic of Kazakhstan "FORTE TRIO" is one of the most famous chamber and instrumental ensembles not only in Kazakhstan, but also far beyond its borders. It was created in 2013 by the renowned pianist, Professor Timur Urmancheev. He combined 3 instruments – piano, violin and cello. The trio consists of recognized masters of the stage: Honored Worker of Kazakhstan, holder of the Order of "Kurmet" Timur Urmancheev, talented cellist, laureate of the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Leader of the Nation Murat Narbekov, laureate of international competitions, violinist Maksat Dzhusupov. The trio's repertoire ranges from baroque music to jazz, from classical works to modern compositions. The trio regularly presents Kazakhstani art at the world's most prestigious venues and participates in many international music festivals.
