The artists of the Gulder ensemble became laureates of the XVII International Choreographic Competition in Latvia
The international competition in Riga was dedicated to the celebration of the International Dance Day, which was approved in 1982 on the initiative of the UNESCO International Dance Council.
Traditionally, the competition is dedicated to the French ballet dancer, theorist and creator of ballet reforms, who went down in history as the "father of modern dance" Jean-Georges Noverre. The holiday is celebrated all over the world and is dedicated to all styles of this art.
At the XVII International Choreographic Competition, the artists of the Gulder ensemble of the State Academic Concert Organization Kazakconcert named after Rosa Baglanova became laureates in the nominations "Folk Dance" and "Choreographer".
The competition was held in the city of Riga. It was attended by dancers from 12 countries such as the USA, Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, Germany, Australia, Spain, Greece, Georgia, Japan, Slovenia and Kazakhstan.
Thus, the participant of the international dance tournament, the Gulder ensemble, in an updated composition, not only continues the work of the legendary creative team with dignity (founded in 1969), but also strengthens its position in the international arena at prestigious festivals and competitions.
