As part of the large-scale national project Creative Aimaq, the Ulytau region's creative fair "Heritage of the Golden Horde" was successfully held from July 18th to 19th at the Qazaq Creative Hub multifunctional venue. The event aims to systematically promote Kazakhstan's historical and cultural heritage, promote regional brands, and support representatives of the creative industries.
Over the course of two days, guests explored unique exhibits inspired by the culture of the Great Steppe and the legacy of the Golden Horde.
Over the two days, approximately 6,000 residents and visitors to the capital attended the fair. The strong public interest in the products of regional artisans ensured successful commercial results, with sales exceeding 6 million tenge. Visitors purchased designer jewelry, national handicrafts, designer clothing, leather and felt goods, souvenirs, arts and crafts, paintings, and textiles made using the traditional "Kurak körpe" technique. Sixty leading regional creatives arrived in the capital specifically to participate in the fair.
As part of the event, they also held master classes on artistic leather and woodworking, blacksmithing, making national musical instruments, jewelry, and decorative and applied arts.
One of the central events was an ethnic fashion show, during which Kazakhstani designers presented contemporary clothing collections inspired by the aesthetics and history of the Golden Horde. The first day's cultural program concluded with a performance by the Jez Acoustic Band.
The fair once again confirmed the effectiveness of the Creative Aimaq project as a platform for promoting regional creative brands, expanding markets for domestic producers, and popularizing Kazakhstan's cultural heritage.
Until the end of the year, residents and visitors to the capital will be able to discover the creative potential and unique products of all regions of the country through a series of creative exhibitions and fairs.
