A themed week for National Book Day has begun in Kazakhstan.

April 23rd marks National Book Day in Kazakhstan, established at the initiative of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. In honor of this, a themed week aimed at developing a culture of reading and enhancing the intellectual potential of the population will be held in all regions of the country.

More than 1,500 events are planned for the week. The week includes the following themed days:

April 16th — "The Art of Book Reading..."
April 17th — "The Art of Book Reading..."
April 18-19th — "Weekend. Book. Vibes"
April 20th — "Book Reading" campaign
April 21st — "Book Reading. Book Reading. Book Reading"
April 22nd — "Book Reading - Ambassadors"
April 23rd — National Book Day.
Today's event, themed "The Art of Books...," is dedicated to promoting books as a source of knowledge, enlightenment, and spiritual development. Book festivals, open days, book fairs, reading marathons, and joint events with publishers and bookstores will be held across the country.
Libraries will host thematic exhibitions, presentations, and programs aimed at fostering interest in reading and enhancing the role of books in society.
