"Otyrar Sazy" opened a new concert season with a program dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Karshyga Akhmediyarov

The Nurgisa Tlendiev Academic Folklore and Ethnographic Orchestra “Otyrar Sazy” opened its concert season with the “Küy-uran” concert. The musical evening was organized to mark the 80th anniversary of the birth of the prominent küy performer and dombra player, composer, People’s Artist of Kazakhstan, and laureate of the State Prize, Karshyga Akhmediárov.

The orchestra’s artistic director is Dinzukhra Tlendieva, Honored Figure of Kazakhstan. The concert was also conducted by Zhalgasbek Begendikov, Honored Artist of Kazakhstan; Yerbolat Akhmediárov, Honored Figure of Kazakhstan; and Abylkairkhan Beisekov, laureate of international competitions.

The B. Baikadamov State Choral Chapel also took part in the concert.

The evening featured Karshyga Akhmediárov’s compositions “Küy-uran,” “Kosbasar,” “Aqmeshit,” “Mama,” and “Zhuldızym,” as well as Nurgisa Tlendiev’s poem “Makhambet” and his “Requiem.”
