The Kalibek Kuanyshbayev Kazakh National Music and Drama Theater concluded its "Kalleki Tynysy" (Happy Birthday) parade of performances, timed to coincide with International Theater Day.
From March 21st to 27th, audiences were treated to premieres staged over the past year. Each production received professional evaluations from theater experts. The program included master classes aimed at developing acting skills.
Based on the audience vote, Zhanat Ospanov was named "Best Actor" and Inabat Abenova "Best Actress." The jury also awarded Zhanat Ospanov the title of "Best Actor," and Aykorkem Turanova was named "Best Actress."
Ulan Kabyl won the "Best Supporting Actor" category, while Botagoz Maksutova won the "Best Supporting Actress" category. Kaiyrzhan Sadykov was awarded the "Umit" nomination. Ainur Zhetpisbayeva received the Special Jury Prize. People's Artist of Kazakhstan Tlektes Meiramov received the honorary "Teatr Tarlany" award.
Special prizes were also presented by cultural figures and representatives of the professional community.
The "Kalleki Tynysy" parade is held annually and aims to promote premiere productions, develop acting skills, and popularize theatrical art.
