The premiere of the play "Two Women in Paris" took place in Astana.

The premiere of the play "Two Women in Paris"—a joint international project by theaters from Kazakhstan, South Korea, and Russia—took place in the capital.
The Kazakh side was represented by actors from the Kalibek Kuanyshbayev Kazakh National Music and Drama Theater. The production also features actors from the Stanislavsky Electrotheatre (Russia) and the PIAC Theater (South Korea).
The action takes place in Paris in the 1940s. The plot centers on a dialogue between Na Hae-seok, the first professional Korean artist and participant in the independence movement, and Ranevskaya, a literary character from the play "The Cherry Orchard." Their encounter explores themes of historical memory, the struggle for independence, and personal responsibility.
The play premiered in Seoul in 2025. The Astana performance was supported by the Korean Cultural Center of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea.
