A concert "Ғасырлар пернесі" dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the birth of academician Akhmet Zhubanov was held in the Concert Hall of the Kazakh National Orchestra of Folk Instruments named after Kurmangazy.

The program of the evening included works from the musical heritage of the founder of Kazakh national professional music, an outstanding scientist, composer and conductor. The concert was attended by Honored Worker of Kazakhstan Tolkyn Zabirova, soloist of the Kazakh National Opera and Ballet Theater named after Abay Aidos Zhabagin, Nematullo Zkrullaev, Azamat Shnarov, Asel Rakhymzhan and the children's choir of the specialized boarding school for gifted children named after A. Zhubanov. The chief conductor of the orchestra, holder of the Order "Kurmet" Abylai Tilepbergen, as well as Nurken Ashirev and Erlan Daurenbekov, performed at the conductor's stand.

As part of the evening, the exhibition "Ұлт рухын асқақтатқан тұлға" of the Memorial Museum of Akhmet and Gaziza Zhubanovs, which is part of the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan, was presented. At the exhibition, visitors could see archival documents, rare photographs, manuscripts, musical publications and personal belongings of the outstanding figure.
