The project, initiated by the Head of State, is aimed at developing dialogue between cultures and peoples, as well as increasing the country's recognition and promoting its achievements abroad.

People's Artist Dimash Kudaibergen, opera singer Maria Mudryak, TV presenter and producer of cultural projects Maya Bekbaeva, archaeologist and member of the National Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan for UNESCO and ISESCO Dmitry Voyakin, and well-known ethnographer Aigerim Musagazhinova have become "Goodwill Ambassadors of Kazakhstan".

"The status of Goodwill Ambassador is not only prestige, but also a great responsibility. Within the framework of the project, we intend to continue to introduce our culture, art, scientific progress, innovations, sports victories, creative solutions, tourism potential and the main value of the Kazakh people - the preservation of peace and harmony," − said First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Akan Rakhmetullin.

World opera star Maria Mudryak glorifies Kazakhstan outside the country and often introduces Kazakh works to foreign audiences. Next year, the opera singer plans to perform in France, China, Italy and Kazakhstan.

"My plans are to develop, move forward and represent Kazakhstan with dignity on the stages of the best theaters in the world. I am grateful and appreciative to our country for such an honor. I have a very busy schedule, scheduled for two or three seasons ahead, everything is going according to plan, but now I will perform in a new capacity," - said opera singer Maria Mudryak.

Aigerim Musagazhinova also believes that the new status imposes a special responsibility. The ethnographer has been studying Kazakh cuisine for almost 15 years. In 2018, her book "Kazakh Cuisine. Tastes. Traditions". The book includes 50 recipes. Together with her colleagues, she travels around Kazakhstan, studying cuisine in all corners of the country.

"It is a great honor for me to be part of this project and develop culinary diplomacy at the international level. Kazakhstan cuisine is not just recipes and a series of dishes, but our cultural code. And we have something to tell. Today, more than one and a half thousand recipes of Kazakh dishes have been restored. This is a whole deep philosophy with which we can reveal the hospitality of our people, the cultural and genetic code of our country," - shared ethnographer Aigerim Musagazhinova.

It should be reminded that earlier the status of Goodwill Ambassador was awarded to violinist-virtuoso Marat Bisengaliev, Olympic champion Alexander Vinokurov, artist and activist of the anti-nuclear movement Karipbek Kuyukov, cardiac surgeon Yuri Pya, researcher of historical maps Mukhit-Ardager Sydyknazarov, chief conductor of the state academic orchestra "Otyrar Sazy" Dinara Tlendieva, pop singer Mirhiday Mirfarukh, widely known under the pseudonym "Adam", world record holder in power numbers and Guinness record holder Sergey Tsyrulnikov.
