The largest European news channel Euronews prepared a special report on Kazakhstan ballet school as part of the Modern Nomads program. Issue was shown in 160 countries around the world.
Modern Nomads – is a new television project Euronews, in which a reporter travels through various cultural attractions of Kazakhstan. In the issue “Rising stars of Kazakh ballet conquer the central stage of Astana” the TV channel told about outstanding young artists combining classical art with national traditions.
Among the bright representatives of the new wave – Torgyn Lebena, who recently won 1st place at the prestigious European ballet competition Budapest Ballet Grand Prix– 2025 (teacher – Kokshinova S.Yu.). Her performance raises the national art to a new level and inspires a young generation of artists.
Artistic Director of the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography Altynai Asylmuratova noted that her main goal is to pass on to young artists all the experience and knowledge that was once invested in her by teachers and tutors.
Report on the Kazakhstan ballet school in Modern Nomads emphasizes the high level of training of artists and enhances their international recognition. Now Kazakh ballet and, in particular, the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography are known far beyond the borders of the country, which strengthens the image of Kazakhstan as a state with a developed system of choreographic education and a high level of training of artists. The Academy cooperates with world choreographic institutions in China, Russia, Italy, France, etc.
