
On March 20, Kazakhstan celebrates "Ulttyk Sport Kunі"—the seventh day of the nationwide Nauryznama decade, dedicated to national sports, fortitude, agility, and respect for traditions. This day highlights the special role of national games as an important part of cultural heritage and public life.
The program will center on events organized by national cultural organizations. The National Central Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan will host the exhibition "Ulttyk Sport Kunі" (The History of National Games: The History of National Games), revealing the history and significance of national games in the lives of the people. The "My Kazakhstan" center will host a school tournament, "Ulttyk Sport Kunі" (The History of National Games). The festive program will also include the concert "Bіzdіk Zhermeңke" at the Roza Baglanova Kazakh Concert Hall and the concert "Az-Nauryz!" At the Zhambyl Kazakh State Academic Philharmonic, as well as a performance of the children's play "Kosh Keldin, Aez Nauryz" at the Gabit Musrepov State Academic Kazakh Theater for Children and Youth.
Astana will host the "Uly Dala Oyyndary" sports relay race, demonstration performances in traditional sports at the Argymak Equestrian Complex, and competitions with modern technology elements. Tournaments in togyzkumalak, asyk atu, and other traditional sports will be held in Almaty. Competitions in audaryspak, kyz kuu, baiga, and strength sports will be held at the Shymkent hippodrome. Mass competitions, demonstration performances, and youth sports events aimed at popularizing traditional games among the younger generation are also being held in the country's regions. Thus, within the framework of Nauryznama, “Ulttyk sport kunі” is revealed as a day in which the people’s sporting traditions become an important part of the modern festive space, uniting history, culture, and active participation of society.
