The first stage of the Republican competition of conductors, organized in honor of the 100th anniversary of the composer, kuyishi, People's Hero Nurgisa Tlendiev, has ended at the Zhambyl Kazakh State Academic Philharmonic. The event is organized with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Welcoming the participants of the competition, the director of the Philharmonic Akan Abdualiyev read out a congratulatory letter from the Minister of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aida Balayeva. In it, the Minister noted the special significance of the competition, wished young talents success and expressed hope for a high level of the event.
23 conductors aged 18 to 35 years take part in the competition. The jury, consisting of famous figures of art, is headed by the Honored Worker of Kazakhstan Dinzuhra Tlendieva. Each contestant performed one kui and one song as part of the first stage, and the third piece was by ticket. This made it possible to comprehensively assess their professionalism. As a result, 8 conductors were selected who managed to get to the next round.
Despite the high scores of the jury, two experienced conductors – the chief conductor and artistic director of the Opera and Ballet Theater of Shymkent Madi Umirzakov, as well as the conductor of the National Opera and Ballet Theater named after Abay and the T. Abdirashev State Academic Symphony Orchestra, Kuanysh Ismailov refused to participate in the second stage, giving way to their younger colleagues. Both professionals decided not to become an obstacle for younger comrades, thereby demonstrating a striking example of nobility and generosity.
The act delighted the members of the jury, who noted that this step is an exceptional example of mutual respect and virtue. In recognition, they presented these conductors with special invitations to hold creative evenings at the E. Rakhmadiyev State Academic Philharmonic.
It should be noted that at all stages of the competition, the participants perform accompanied by the Academic Folklore and Ethnographic Orchestra "Otyrar Sazy" named after N. Tlendiev, founded by the famous composer himself.
The award ceremony for the winners will take place on the evening of October 10 during the Gala Concert.
