The final exhibition of the “Facets of a Mysterious World” II International Artists’ Symposium-Plein Air, dedicated to the creative legacy of renowned artist Ural Tansykbayev, has opened at the Abai Kazakh National Opera and Ballet Theatre.

The exhibition features paintings and studies created during a three-month art expedition across Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan. More than 40 artists from seven countries presented their individual interpretations of the nature and cultural landscape of Central Asia.

As part of the project, the artists donated a number of their works to the Abai Kazakh National Opera and Ballet Theatre. The works will become part of the theatre’s art collection.

The symposium brought together prominent representatives of the visual arts, including laureate of the State Prize of the Republic of Kazakhstan Amandos Akanayev, as well as People’s Artists of Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Azerbaijan.
