In Almaty, the international scientific and practical conference titled "80 Years of Stage Secrets: Spirit, Art, Search" was held in honor of the 80th anniversary of the Gabit Musrepov Kazakh State Academic Theater for Children and Youth. The event was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Akimat of Almaty, as well as theater art figures from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Bashkortostan.

Arman Kyrykbayev, Minister of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, sent a special congratulatory letter to the theater team on the occasion of its 80th anniversary. The congratulatory letter was read by Aibek Sydykov, Vice Minister of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

"Over eighty years, the theater has expanded the artistic horizons of Kazakh stage art, enriched the spiritual world of several generations of spectators, and become a fundamental art hub that honors the best works of our national dramaturgy. The creative principles of this institution have always been combined with high taste and bold searches that feel the pulse of the times. I wish the team strong health, creative inspiration, immense success, new achievements, and the inexhaustible love of the audience," the congratulation reads.

The conference discussed topics such as the history and current development direction of the theater, repertoire formation, acting skills, directing, and modern trends in children's and youth theater. In addition, issues concerning new interpretations of classical works, new searches in stage art, and national consciousness in productions for young audiences were raised.

During the gathering, special mention was made of the contribution made by several generations of actors and directors to the establishment of the theater and the continuation of its creative traditions. The creative heritage of Raimbek Seitmetov, who contributed significantly to the development of theater art, and the continuity of the established art school were particularly noted.

The anniversary events will continue with a performance-concert featuring theater artists and well-known performers from across the country at Kok Tobe.
