
A national scientific and practical seminar on the conservation and restoration of museum ceramics was held at the Otyrar State Archaeological Museum-Reserve.
Over 50 archaeologists, restorers, museum specialists, and ceramic artists participated in the event. Participants discussed modern methods of preserving archaeological objects, the use of laboratory technologies, and the development of professional collaboration.
Specialists presented their experience in preserving and restoring archaeological collections, innovative scientific approaches applied at the Samarkand Institute of Archaeology, and the conservation practices of the Tanbaly Museum-Reserve.
The practical portion of the seminar focused on the production, restoration, and conservation of ceramics. Restorers and ceramic artists demonstrated key techniques for working with museum objects and shared their professional experiences.
The event also featured the exhibition "Reviving the Heritage of the Past." The exhibition included restored archaeological ceramic items from the collection of the Otyrar Museum-Reserve.
