
The BaiQymyz-2026 ethno-gastrofestival took place in Karkaralinsk, Karaganda Region, becoming an important platform for promoting national culture and kumys production traditions. This large-scale event attracted over 20,000 guests and gave new impetus to the development of domestic tourism and local entrepreneurship.
During the festival, 37 kumys producers from the Karaganda Region and other regions of the country presented their products and competed in the "Best Kumys" competition. Following the competition, kumys from the "Akterek" brand from the Karkaralinsk District was recognized as the best and won the grand prize. Approximately 30 tons of kumys were offered to festival guests.
The event featured ethno-villages, a national food fair, handicraft exhibitions, horse tack displays, and food courts. Competitions in national sports such as kökpar, asyk atu, and zhamby atu were also held, allowing visitors to gain a closer understanding of the rich cultural heritage of the Kazakh people.
