
The Astana Opera State Theatre is preparing for a tour to one of the largest cultural centers in the Middle East - the Royal Opera House Muscat. Performances of the legendary ballet "Coppélia" by Roland Petit will be held on December 4 and 5 with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan and by special invitation of the Omani side.
While the sets and costumes are being sent to Muscat, final preparations are underway in the capital's theater. Rehearsal rooms are filled with the sounds of the piano and precise instructions from the artistic director of the ballet troupe, Altynai Asylmuratova. Maestro Ruslan Baimurzin is at the conductor's stand.
Roland Petit's ballet "Coppélia" is distinguished by its bright character, unique choreography and a combination of a romantic storyline with elements of comedic theater. The production is one of the most famous in the theater's repertoire.
On December 4, Honored Workers of Kazakhstan Bakhtiyar Adamzhan, Aigerim Beketayeva and Olzhas Tarlanov will take the stage.
On December 5, Honored Workers of Kazakhstan Erkin Rakhmatullaev, Rustem Seitbekov and Shugyla Adepkhan will perform.
The tour in Muscat continues the development of cultural cooperation between Kazakhstan and Oman. The exchange of creative projects contributes to the expansion of the international presence of Kazakh art and presents the audience of the Middle East with a high level of national ballet school.
