"More than 25,000 objects of historical and cultural heritage have been recorded in Kazakhstan, 250 of which are currently included in the State List of Historical and Cultural Monuments of Republican Significance and about 11,000 thousand in the State Lists of Historical and Cultural Monuments of Local Significance. Also, 10 of them are included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. These are the mausoleum of Kh.A. Yassawi in Turkestan, the petroglyphs of Tamgaly in the Almaty region, the ancient settlements of Talgar, Karamergen, Koylyk in the Almaty region and Aktobe, Kostobe, Kulan, Ornek, Akyrtas in the Zhambyl region," - said Alibek Bakytbekuly, director of the national historical, cultural and natural museum-reserve "Ұlytau", in his report.
According to Alibek Bakytbekuly, Kazakh museums-reserves are actively cooperating with well-known foreign museums and research centers, implementing joint projects. For example, more than 60 memorandums and agreements have been concluded with partners from Great Britain, China, South Korea, Hungary, Denmark, Russia, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Uzbekistan and other countries in recent times.
In turn, Turkish colleagues made reports on various measures to protect historical monuments of the city of Istanbul and shared their great experience. The program will be completed on September 27.
