From April 26 to 29, the Honored Ensemble of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Saltanat State Dance Ensemble, represented Kazakhstan at the 3rd Lazgi International Dance Festival, held in Khiva, Uzbekistan.
As part of the program, the ensemble performed the Kazakh dances "Kyz Kuu" and "Dombyra Dastan," as well as the Uzbek dance "Khorezm Termaleri," and was awarded second place in the "Best Dance Production" category.
This large-scale cultural event brought together artistic groups from 15 countries on one stage. Participants included Kazakhstan, China, India, Russia, Japan, Turkey, Indonesia, Pakistan, Malaysia, Uzbekistan, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan.
It is worth noting that this was the State Ensemble's first time participating in this international festival.
