The National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the National Museum of the People's Republic of China are conducting a joint archaeological expedition in the North Kazakhstan Region.
The research is taking place from July 14 to August 16 under a memorandum of understanding between the two museums. Specialists are studying a Bronze Age settlement located near the village of Imantau in the Aiyrtau District.
The expedition includes archaeologists from the Institute for Scientific Research of Cultural Heritage of the National Museum of Kazakhstan and the Institute of Archaeology of the National Museum of China.
The scientists plan to obtain new information about the daily life, economic activities, and culture of the region's ancient population. Following the expedition, the discovered artifacts will be introduced into scientific circulation, and the research results will be presented in joint scientific publications.
