
On March 6-7, the Astana Ballet Theatre will host a festive Gala Ballet dedicated to International Women's Day. The program will combine works from the classical heritage with contemporary choreographic productions. The evening will be accompanied by the theatre's symphony orchestra under the baton of principal conductor Arman Urazgaliyev. The first half will feature choreographic miniatures and the ballet "Triumph" to music by Pyotr Tchaikovsky, choreographed by Ainur Abilgazina. The program also includes excerpts from classical and neoclassical productions, including Aram Khachaturian's "Spartacus," Sergei Rachmaninoff's "Spring Tides," and Adolphe Adam's "Giselle." The company will also present a number of other productions in March: the ballet-cantata "Carmina Burana" on March 13-14, and a concert by the symphony orchestra "Therapy" on March 21. Jazz Night”, March 27-28 – “Orpheus and Eurydice” and the premiere of the one-act contemporary ballet “Bolero X”.
