This will be their first joint performance in the new academic year.
“Over the three years of its activity, the Astana Opera International Opera Academy has acquired its own traditions. According to the plan, our academists should give 5-6 concerts and perform in 3 operas a year. Two of the three performances take place in the Grand Hall of the Astana Opera House, one in the Chamber Hall named after K. Baiseitova. Since the upcoming concert will be the first concert of the academy in the new academic year, we have chosen masterpieces of academic music, because the purpose of this performance is to introduce the audience to new soloists,” said Aisulu Tani, Executive Director of the Astana Opera International Opera Academy.
It should be noted that last month the academy began its third academic season. Out of 69 applicants, a highly qualified jury selected 10 students from Kazakhstan, Russia and Mongolia. A special feature of the current composition is that the academy accepted two mezzo-sopranos and one bass, since there were no such voices in the previous academic year.
Academicians are already taking vocal educational disciplines from Honored Workers of Kazakhstan, opera stars Zhupar Gabdullina and Azamat Zheltyrguzov. In November and December, they will have master classes with Italian soprano Donata D’Annunzio Lombardi and famous Russian teacher, Professor Dmitry Vdovin.
It is worth emphasizing that the academy has produced excellent vocalists who have repeatedly become laureates of prestigious international competitions during their studies. In addition, it has become a forge of soloists of the Astana Opera, including Azat Malik, Dinmukhamed Koshkinbayev, Guldana Aldadosova and many others.
On a November evening, talented academists Aigerim Temirbekova, Belal Kuanysh, Asylzat Nugymanova, Dias Orysbay, Ablai Beken, Dilnaz Omarkhanova, Sara Sadygulova, Munkhtuvshin Khorolgarav (Mongolia), Vasilisa Savkina and Ruzilya Tyumentseva (Russia) will take the stage. They will perform songs by A. Kunanbayev “Aittym Salem, Kalamkas” and N. Tlendiev “Zhan Saulem”. The audience will also be presented with chamber vocal works, romances and arias from world operas by famous composers such as W.A. Mozart, G. Rossini, G. Donizetti, G. Bizet, C. Gounod, J. Massenet, F. Cilea, F. Mendelssohn, A. Rubinstein, M. Glinka, S. Rachmaninov.
