The IV International Theatre Festival "TEATR ALL" opened in Astana, dedicated to the 75th birthday of People's Artist of Kazakhstan, theater and film actress Meruert Utekesheva.
During the opening ceremony, a greeting from the Minister of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Arman Kyrykbayev, was read. It noted Meruert Utekesheva's significant role in the development of national culture and her long-standing contribution to Kazakh theater.
During the evening, Meruert Utekesheva shared memories of her creative path, mentors, and more than 50 years of work at the Mukhtar Auezov Theater.
One of the evening's highlights was a performance of the ethno-folk musical "Kyz Zhibek" by Gabit Musrepov and Yevgeny Brusilovsky.
Audiences were also treated to the exhibition "Symbol of Beauty and High Art," prepared from the collections of the Mukhtar Auezov National Drama Theater Museum. The IV International Theatre Festival "TEATR ALL" will run until October 7. It features theater companies from Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Azerbaijan, as well as leading theaters from Astana and other regions of Kazakhstan.
The festival aims to develop theatrical art, strengthen professional ties, exchange creative experiences, and expand international cultural cooperation.
