Filming of the feature film "Where is Kenjem?" has begun in Konaev. Traditionally, the filming process opened with the "breaking the plate" ceremony.

The film became one of the projects that received state support as a result of the pitching held last year. The author of the film is the young director Dias Bertis (Kulmakov), known for the social films "Player", "Black Yard", "Verdict". According to the director, the new work aims to reveal the theme of unspoken grievances within the family and the mental wound of a person in an artistic language.

The film "Where is Kenjem?" tells the story of the fate of a single mother, Gulnaz, who has gone through difficult trials. After the disappearance of her son, it is as if the family members' masks fall off - years of silence, hidden wounds and internal conflicts come to the surface. This is a psychological drama with elements of detective.

According to Kurmanbek Zhumagali, Chairman of the Board of the State Center for Support of National Cinema, the Ministry of Culture and Information, as well as the State Center for Support of National Cinema, attach particular importance to projects that raise important ideological topics: issues of family values, education of the younger generation, responsibility and spiritual continuity. One of such works is the film "Where is Kenjem?".

It should be noted that this year, with the support of the State Center for Support of National Cinema, 16 projects are in the production stage. Among them are the films "Burkitshi", "Anxious Night", "Days", "38", "Sagindym Seni", "Mugalim", "Team A", "Zhibek", "Winners are Visible at the Start" and others.
