Kazakh publications won nine prizes at the 23rd International “Art of the Book – 2026” Competition, held in Minsk. As a result of the competition, Kazakh books received two first-place, four second-place, and three third-place awards.

First place was awarded to Kymbat Karayeva’s book “Games of the Nomads” in the “My Country” category, and to Kenzhekhan Matyzhanov’s three-volume edition “Abai” in the “Science and Education” category.

Second place went to Erlan Kozhabayev’s “Kazakh Ornament,” Nelly Bube’s “The Universe of Amandos Akanaev. A Dynasty of Artists,” Kadyrbek Segizbayuly’s “The Traditional Kazakh Table,” and Aidarkhan Zhadykov’s “Kazakh Heroes. A Concise Bibliographic Reference.”

The third-place awards went to “Veterans of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan” by Marat Azilkhanov, “Kazakh Customs” by Seit Kenzheakhmetuly, and “Ablai Khan and the Batyrs” by Bayangali Alimzhanov.

In addition, Gulmira Amandykova’s book “The Words of Abai Kunanbaiuly: A Legacy to Descendants” received a nominee diploma. Special diplomas were awarded to A. Dyuzelkhanov’s “Momunbai and the Seven Robbers: Based on a Kazakh Folk Tale,” Maxim Zverev’s “The Golden Saiga,” and Zhusipbek Korgasbek’s “Кельндағы көкжал.”

In total, Kazakhstan submitted 10 books in the main categories and three publications for the special diploma categories.
