An international scientific-practical conference titled "Archives of Scientific and Technical Documentation: Pressing Issues and Development Trends" was held in Almaty.

The meeting was attended by scientists, researchers, representatives of the archival sector, as well as doctoral and master's students from domestic universities in Kazakhstan, the USA, Finland, Latvia, Georgia, and Uzbekistan.

Participants discussed the main directions for developing archival affairs in the context of digitalization and new approaches in international practice.

The conference focused heavily on the application of modern technologies in archival work. Experts presented Latvia's experience in digitizing and preserving scientific and technical documents. Issues concerning the use of artificial intelligence in document analysis and the development of expert recommendations, as well as the application of BIM technologies in designing construction objects and storing data about them, were also reviewed.

In addition, discussions covered improving the professional skills of archival specialists and modern methods for storing scientific and technical documents.
