The concert "Musical Bridge: Kazakhstan – Japan" took place in Almaty.

A special evening, deepening cultural ties between Kazakhstan and Japan, took place in the Great Hall of the Zhambyl Kazakh State Academic Philharmonic.
Before the concert, representatives of the Japanese Committee for International Cultural Exchange held a tea ceremony in the Philharmonic's foyer, reflecting their national culture. They also gave a master class on the traditional game of Shogi—Japanese chess. A shamisen ensemble, playing the Japanese three-stringed instrument, also performed in the foyer, earning enthusiastic applause from the audience. This gave the audience the opportunity to gain a closer understanding of Japanese culture.
The concert, organized with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Embassy of Japan in Kazakhstan, featured the T. Abdrashev State Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Kuanysh Ismailov, winner of international and national competitions, conducted the orchestra. During the evening, Japanese artists performed on the Philharmonic stage, demonstrating the uniqueness of Japanese music: Kodai Minoda (shamisen), Mayuko Katsumura (violin), Kazuhiro Miyamura (oboe), Mitsukuni Tsujimoto (trumpet), and Tasaichi Mochizuki (tsuzumi).
During the concert, listeners enjoyed well-known works such as the first movement of G. Zhubanova's Violin Concerto, S. Yudakov's "Poem," Wada's "Fusuikyo," and A. Arutyunyan's Trumpet Concerto. Of particular interest were also H. Oguri's "Ballad" for oboe and orchestra and H. Hoshina's "Prayer and Games under the Ray of Light" for oboe, tsuzumi, and orchestra. This cultural event, using the language of music, demonstrated the spiritual closeness of the two countries and strengthened the unbreakable bridge of friendship.
