Scientific restoration work continues at the Otyrar settlement in the Turkestan Region. Specialists from the Kazrestavratsiya State Enterprise are restoring individual sections of the ancient complex using traditional construction techniques.
Within the settlement, sections of the walls of residential buildings have already been reinforced, cracks and damage have been repaired, and fragments of an ancient hearth have been restored. Work has also been completed on the access road, and damaged plaster has been renewed.
Particular attention is being paid to protecting the moat surrounding the settlement from the effects of precipitation. Its surface is coated with a special plaster containing straw—a traditional material that strengthens the protective layer and reduces the impact of the environment.
The scientific restoration is being carried out taking into account the historical features of Otyrar and is aimed at preserving the archaeological site's authentic appearance and ensuring its future preservation.
