
The Astana Opera presented a ballet program at the Palace of Peace and Reconciliation. The expansion of the stage space is aimed at further developing the theater's creative work, increasing the number of performances, and expanding the formats of cultural events. In the future, the new venue will host ballet and opera performances, gala concerts, and educational projects.
The opening program was developed by the artistic director of the theater's ballet company, People's Artist of Russia Altynai Asylmuratova. The productions combined classical and contemporary choreography, emphasizing the continuity of traditions and a new stage in the company's development.
The first half featured Michel Fokine's "Chopiniana," one of the outstanding examples of romantic ballet. The second half featured Raimondo Rebeck's "How Long Is Now?", a ballet dedicated to the philosophical understanding of time and its human perception. Ruslan Baimurzin conducted. The opening of the new venue also marked a significant event for the theater's artists. Alina Zyryanova debuted in Waltz No. 7 and Akbar Iminov debuted as the Youth at "Chopiniana." Doskhan Zaydin made his debut as the Youth in Raimondo Rebec's production.
