A KazNUI College Student Becomes the Silver Medalist of the Echo of Nomads Competition

Jasmina Tleumbetova, a third-year student majoring in Pop Vocal at the College of the Kazakh National University of Arts named after Kulyash Baiseitova, took second place at the international Echo of Nomads Ethnic Song Competition, held in Kyrgyzstan as part of the 6th World Nomad Games.

Performers from 20 countries took part in the competition. Jasmina Tleumbetova was one of the youngest participants and performed alongside experienced representatives of traditional and ethnic music. At the end of the competition, the KazNUA student was awarded a silver medal.

On the international stage, Jasmina performed the song “Ұлы дала иесі,” with lyrics by E. Tleuberdiyev and music by B. Tazhinov. The piece, dedicated to the Great Steppe, national culture, and spiritual heritage, received high praise from the international jury.

The Echo of Nomads competition was held as part of the 6th World Nomad Games. This year, representatives from 120 countries participated in the Games, with 62 countries taking part in cultural events. Alongside sporting competitions, the program featured ethnocultural projects, academic platforms, and international creative competitions.
