A large-scale program dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding director Abdulla Karsakbayev is being held in Kazakhstan. Today, a thematic exhibition opened in Almaty, and a special screening of the film "My Name is Kozha" took place. Retrospective screenings of his films will be held in six cities across the country until September 17.

The exhibition "Through Time and Screen: 100 Years of Abdolla Karsakbayev" features original graphic works by artist M. Frolova-Bagreeva, created based on Berdibek Sokpakbayev's novel "My Name is Kozha". The exposition allows tracing how the visual image of the main character was formed before its embodiment on screen.

Screenings of A. Karsakbayev's films will be held in Almaty, Astana, Shymkent, Aktobe, Kyzylorda, and Aktau. The program includes the films "My Name is Kozha", "Alpamis Goes to School", "Journey to Childhood", and "Troubled Morning".

Another event of the festive program was the opening ceremony of new memorial stars on the territory of the Shaken Aimanov Kazakhfilm National Film Studio.

The Alley of Stars immortalizes the names of Bauyrzhan Nogerbek, Bolat Suleyev, Murat Nugmanov, Alim Sabitov, Slambek Tauykel, Viktor Chugunov, Azerbayzhan Mambetov, and Nurlan Segizbayev, who made significant contributions to the development of national cinema.
