Kazakh tenor Nursultan Anuarbek has been accepted into the Young Artists Opera Program of the Bolshoi Theatre

The soloist of the Astana Opera theatre, Nursultan Anuarbek, has successfully passed three rounds of auditions and has been enrolled in the Youth Opera Program of the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia. Training will begin in late November.

The Youth Program, established in 2009, is one of the leading platforms for training young opera singers. Participants work with vocal coaches, conductors, directors, study foreign languages, stage movement and participate in productions on the Historical and New Stages of the Bolshoi Theatre.

Nursultan Anuarbek began his creative path at the Kyzylorda Music College named after Kazangap, then continued his education at the Kazakh National University of Arts. In 2023-2024, he studied at the Astana Opera International Opera Academy, after which he was accepted into the theatre's troupe as a soloist.

The young tenor is a laureate of several prestigious competitions: Grand Prix of the International Competition "Kazakh Romance" (2024), I place at the "Caruso – De Curtis" competition in Italy (2023) and the Moscow International Competition of Russian Romance (2024). In February of this year, he participated in master classes of the Yuri Bashmet Winter Arts Festival in Sochi.
