A creative evening was held in Almaty to commemorate the 180th anniversary of Zhambyl Zhabayev.

The Central State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Recordings of the Republic of Kazakhstan hosted a creative evening, "Khaliq Menin Shyn Atym," dedicated to the 180th anniversary of the birth of the great Kazakh poet Zhambyl Zhabayev. Representatives of the museum and archival community, artists, researchers, and the poet's granddaughter, Saltanat Zhambyl, participated in the event.
The evening featured an exhibition of rare photographs from the archival collections dating from 1932 to 1946. A unique audio recording of Zhambyl Zhabayev's voice, obtained from the Russian Sound Archive, was shown as part of the "Archive 2025" program. A screening of the feature film "Zhambyl" was also held. The film tells the story of the poet's life, the development of his artistic personality, and his public role in various historical periods.
