An open-air gala concert titled "MURA" was held in front of the Abai Kazakh National Opera and Ballet Theatre to celebrate the 93rd theatre season and City Day in Almaty. The event brought together over 250 performers and was enjoyed by several thousand spectators.

The three-hour concert featured around 30 performances by opera soloists, the ballet troupe, the choir, and musical ensembles. The program encompassed national and world classics, jazz, music from popular films, and contemporary works.

Zhamilya Serkebayeva, who made a special guest appearance at the evening, performed a medley of Kazakh songs from the repertoire of Ermek Serkebayev. She also performed alongside theatre soloist Oleg Tatamirov.

The audience was also treated to songs dedicated to Almaty. The "Favorite Almaty" medley brought together popular tunes about the city, while the symphony orchestra performed well-known musical pieces from world cinematography.

The theme of the gala concert was further enriched by the ideas of the nationwide "Taza Kazakhstan" environmental campaign. The stage was decorated with visuals depicting Kazakhstan's picturesque nature.

The theatre's facade was transformed with 3D projections, as well as lighting and laser installations. Over 500 stage costumes were used throughout the gala concert.
