The TURKSOY International Organization Awards Ceremony was held in Astana.
People's Artist of Kazakhstan Dimash Kudaibergen was recognized for his significant contribution to the development of Turkic culture. He was awarded the "Ambassador of Culture of the Turkic World" order, TURKSOY's highest award.
Honored Worker of Kazakhstan and actress Samal Yeslyamova was also recognized for her significant contribution to Turkic and world cinema. She received a special TURKSOY prize in the "Best Artist of the Turkic World" category.
On behalf of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Culture and Information Aida Balayeva, Vice Minister of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aibek Sydykov congratulated the artists, emphasizing the significance of their achievements in strengthening cultural ties within the Turkic world and the international recognition of Kazakh art.
TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Rayev spoke about the significance of the awards and the role of Kazakh cultural figures in strengthening the pan-Turkic cultural space. "Today we honor people who truly unite the Turkic world through the power of art. Dimash Kudaibergen fulfills the mission of a cultural ambassador through music, and Samal Yeslyamova has become a recognized symbol of Kazakhstani cinema. These awards are a well-deserved recognition of their contributions," Sultan Rayev noted.
In accepting the award, Dimash Kudaibergen emphasized that the public's support remains the artist's greatest recognition.
"For an artist, the highest honor is the recognition and support of the people. I see this award as an important gesture that demonstrates the strengthening of diplomatic relations between our countries. I view this award not as a personal one, but as a sign of respect and honor bestowed upon the entire Kazakh people," the artist remarked.
It's worth noting that Dimash is the second person to receive this award. Previously, this title was awarded to Nobel laureate Professor Aziz Sancar of Turkey.
