Astana to host International Competition of Young Choreographers

From April 20 to 22, 2026, the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography will host the International Competition of Young Choreographers, timed to coincide with International Dance Day.
This creative project will bring together young choreographers from Kazakhstan, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, Uzbekistan, and Azerbaijan. The competition will provide a professional platform for showcasing original works, exchanging experiences, and strengthening international cooperation in the field of choreographic art.
The main goal of the competition is to support the creative potential of young people, develop cultural ties, and promote contemporary choreographic art. The jury will include leading choreography experts from Kazakhstan, Russia, and Italy, ensuring a high level of professional evaluation of the competition entries and an international expert perspective.
The program includes competition screenings, master classes by leading specialists, and a forum entitled "Digital Transformation of Arts Universities: Challenges and Prospects."
The competition will conclude with a gala concert of the winners, featuring the participants' best productions.
