The Interdepartmental Commission held a meeting to review film projects vying for state support in 2026.
The film project competition began on March 1 of this year. The selection process consisted of several stages. A total of 323 applications were submitted electronically for the first stage, of which 277 were submitted for review by the Expert Council. 107 projects, presented as scripts and script outlines, advanced to the second stage.
Based on the results of the second stage, 95 projects were accepted for pitching, having been reviewed by the Expert Council in the feature, documentary, and animated film sections. The open defense of the projects was broadcast live on the official YouTube channel of the State Center for National Cinema Support, aimed at ensuring the transparency and openness of the competition process.
Following the discussion, 34 film projects received a positive conclusion and were forwarded to the Interdepartmental Commission for review. Following the discussion and voting, 18 projects were selected by the commission members.
