The Abai Museum-Reserve "Zhidebai-Bөrіlі" has opened an exhibition, "Kazakhymnyң үnіsің sen – dombyra!", dedicated to National Dombra Day. A special feature of the exhibition is the dombra of Abai Kunanbayuly, which is kept in the museum's collection.
The exhibition features approximately 30 exhibits. Among the most valuable and rare relics are Abai's dombra, as well as instruments of Shakir Abenuly and Akhat Shakarimuly.
The exhibition brings together unique musical instruments associated with famous figures of Kazakh culture. Visitors can also see dombras of Madeniet Yeshekeev, Bolat Sybanov, Argynbek Akhmetzhanov, Nuridden Imanbayev, and others. In addition, the museum displays instruments donated to it by the Bukhar Zhyrau Pavlodar Museum of Literature and Art and the Abai School in Kostanay, as well as scholarly publications dedicated to Abai's musical legacy and the history of Kazakh folk instruments.
