Aida Balayeva, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, held a meeting with the staff of the National Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve "Aziret Sultan."
During the meeting, key areas for the development of the museum sector in the new socio-political context were discussed. As Aida Balayeva noted, with the adoption of the new Constitution, Kazakhstan has entered a new historical period, in which the preservation of historical memory, strengthening of national identity, and promotion of spiritual values are of particular importance.
"The national referendum was a truly responsible choice for the country. The majority of citizens supported the new Constitution, and today we have truly entered a completely new era. The updated Basic Law has become the spiritual and legal foundation of this time, and now our main task is to consistently implement the principles enshrined in it in public policy and in every specific initiative," said Aida Balayeva. Developing this idea, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that the spheres of culture and information bear special responsibility in this work, as they shape a system of social values, strengthen ties between generations, and transmit the nation's historical experience.
In this regard, special attention was paid to the role of the "Azіret Sultan" Museum-Reserve as one of the country's key spiritual, historical, and cultural centers.
"Azіret Sultan" is not just a museum institution, but a vital center of historical memory, spiritual continuity, and national identity. It preserves not only a unique cultural heritage but also a living connection between eras, which helps us better understand the origins of our statehood, traditions, and spiritual values. Our task is not only to carefully preserve this heritage but also to convey it to the modern generation in a new, meaningful dimension, making it understandable, relevant, and relatable to young people," Aida Balayeva emphasized. The meeting further discussed issues related to improving museum services, enhancing the quality of tour services, systematically studying and popularizing scientific heritage, expanding international cooperation, and promoting Kazakhstan's historical and cultural values internationally.
Furthermore, during her working visit, Aida Balayeva reviewed the progress of renovation and restoration work at the Khoja Ahmed Yasawi Mausoleum. It was noted that since 2023, the Kazrestavratsiya State Enterprise has been conducting scientific research on the site, following which a number of practical measures have already been implemented. The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that the priority at this stage is not external renovation, but preventing further deterioration of this unique monument.
Summing up the meeting, Aida Balayeva noted the importance of all the initiatives announced and expressed support for their further implementation.
